South Asia's Premier Power & Energy Event – Three Shows in One with Unprecedented Scale

Fanhar at POWERGEN India 2026

POWERGEN India 2026 was held from September 1 to 3, 2026, at the Yashobhoomi – IICC in New Delhi, India. Co-located with Bharat Electricity and Indian Utility Week, the three exhibitions formed an integrated platform covering the entire industry chain – from power generation, transmission and distribution, to renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage, and hydrogen energy.

The event brought together government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders from more than 40 countries, with over 15,000 professional visitors, more than 250 domestic and international exhibitors, and over 150 speakers. India is currently in a period of rapid grid modernisation and renewable energy growth, with electricity consumption growing at 6%–8% annually. Renewable energy already accounts for more than half of the country's total installed capacity. The government plans to add 500 GW of new renewable capacity by 2030 and has committed USD 44.9 billion to smart grid infrastructure. This context made the exhibition a key gateway for global electrical companies looking to enter the South Asian market.

Fanhar's Production And R&D Capabilities

POWERGEN India 2026 Fanhar Exhibition Number: E.20

Zhejiang Fanhar Electronics Co., Ltd., a national high-tech enterprise, showcased a range of relay products and industry solutions at Booth E.20. The company specialises in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of relays, with products covering smart home, photovoltaic new energy, charging piles, smart meters, and industrial control.

Fanhar Electronics has a team of nearly 600 employees and 35 fully automated production lines. 40% of its products are exported to more than 20 countries. The company invests 6%–8% of annual sales revenue in R&D, has obtained more than 50 national patents, and holds ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications. This exhibition was a key step in Fanhar's strategy to deepen its presence in the South Asian market and connect with global customers. Its booth attracted many power equipment manufacturers, meter makers, and new energy system integrators for discussions and inquiries.

Spotlight on a Popular Exhibit – Quick Look at the FH21L-60 Latching Relay

Fanhar popular product FH21L-60

At the show, the FH21L-60 latching relay drew considerable attention. Designed for high-current switching and low-power holding applications, it is primarily used in smart meters, composite switches, and new energy equipment. Key features include:

High-current switching: Rated load 60A 250VAC, maximum switching current 80A, switching capacity up to 15,000VA;

High withstand voltage and insulation: Dielectric strength between coil and contacts 4,000VAC, insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ;

Latching technology: Maintains state after power-off, pulse-driven, effectively reducing system power consumption;

Compliance with international standards: Meets IEC62055-31 UC2 electrical endurance requirements (resistive + inductive loads totalling 10,000 operations) and is RoHS compliant;

Flexible customisation: Available in single-coil or dual-coil versions; can be integrated with external shunts, transformers, and other accessories; supports PCB or screw terminal connections for easy automated assembly.

With excellent consistency and immunity to power-frequency interference, the product is in strong demand for prepaid meters and residential PV protection in India, and it generated high levels of on-site interest at the exhibition.

Precise Demand Alignment and Productive Engagements

During the show, the Fanhar team held in-depth technical exchanges and business discussions with more than 100 potential customers from India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Topics centred on India's smart meter replacement needs, customised high-current switching solutions for PV systems, and trends towards miniaturisation and extended lifetime in composite switches.

Live demonstrations of the FH21L-60's pulse drive and state-holding functionality impressed many professional visitors with its stable electrical performance and reliable consistency. A number of Indian meter manufacturers and system integrators showed strong interest in the product, exchanged contact details with the Fanhar team, and established initial communication channels. Fanhar will continue to follow up actively, promoting sample testing and technical validation as next steps, laying a solid foundation for building a quality customer base in the South Asian market.

Deepening Commitment to New Energy and Smart Grids, Accelerating International Expansion
